With the events stemming from the devastating the hurricane seasons of 2004 and of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma in 2005, Simpson Engineering Associates became acutely aware of a need within the insurance adjusting market for a different type of business model. It was clear that adjusters needed a fully independent, highly qualified, and motivated partner with unquestionable ethics to achieve “global” success for their clients based on the management of complex technical issues.

Our model for the services we now provide stem from the needs and requests of our clients over the years. We began by specializing in determining cause, effect, and extent of damages from catastrophic events to physical structures. We then saw that our clients needed more. At times, they faced situations where the services of multiple professionals were needed to fully assess the loss and found it difficult and confusing to fill in the gaps between the technical information streams being generated for them. We began reviewing and coordinating the technical aspects of these claims for our clients who could then focus on the task of adjusting the claim. We began to understand that the needs of insurance companies and adjusters will many times be more complex than the traditional “one off” style of engagement. To that end, we maintain alliances with a number of specialty firms who provide the “one off” style of service typical of many ”experts” and specialty engineering firms and bring their experience to your claim needs, all under one technical management umbrella.
